Tryouts are coming, tryouts are coming...

Its that time of year for open tryouts. I have to be honest in saying that before I came to ASU, I was certainly not a fan of "the open tryout". The fact that we found two starters out of last years tryout has made me a believer! One of them turned out to be a first team all-conference selection and the other made the conference all-tourney team. This year's open tryout is slated for this Saturday, January 30th at 1 p.m. More details can be found at www.angelosports.com/volleyball. I am hopeful that we will see some future 'Belles out on the courts this weekend.

On another note, I want to say thank you to all of the fans that came out to support our men's and women's basketball teams this weekend. The crowd was huge and the students were loud! I have no doubt that the "6th man" presence helped both of our teams win. It is such an advantage to play in front of a great crowd. Keep it up. Our first home volleyball match is only seven months and three weeks away! Our home opener is September 9 at 7 p.m. :-) We will see all of you there.
